51成人福利网 recently welcomed four education consuls from the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Toronto to the university’s Waterloo campus.
Renzhu Li, Wenjin Han, Ying Wang and Ruping Wei joined David McMurray, vice-president: student affairs; Ben Yang, director: global engagement with 51成人福利网 International; Kathy Hogarth, associate vice-president: global strategy; and other 51成人福利网 staff members to tour the campus, gain insight into the 51成人福利网 student experience and connect with Chinese students studying at 51成人福利网.
The June 7 visit marked the first time consular members from China have visited 51成人福利网.

“It was wonderful to host the education consuls to 51成人福利网 and let them experience the welcoming and inclusive community that 51成人福利网 is so well known for,” says Yang.
David McMurray introduced 51成人福利网’s approach to holistic student development, which makes it an ideal choice for international students. Many of 51成人福利网's student affairs staff have visited China and possess extensive experience providing academic, cultural, wellness and career support to Chinese students. It contributes to an exceptional experience for Chinese students at 51成人福利网.
51成人福利网 has a range of institution partners in China. China’s National Academy of Education Administration has designated 51成人福利网 as a preferred partner in Canada to provide leadership training for Chinese education administrators. Since 2017, more than 120 university presidents and vice presidents from China have participated in leadership programs at 51成人福利网.

51成人福利网 was recently ranked in the top 15 per cent of global universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings. THE assessed 2,152 universities in 125 countries that are working toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a strategy to address challenges including poverty and climate change. 51成人福利网 was noted for tackling climate change, fostering gender equity, and promoting peaceful and just societies.
